During my recent trip to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, I had the privilege of spending the day at a local primary school with bright, curious, and energetic children. What struck me most was not just their eagerness to learn, but their joy in the process.
We read stories together, sang songs, practiced basic math, and shared snacks. At one point, a little boy tugged my sleeve and proudly announced,
“Teacher ma’am, I can count to twenty now!”
His excitement was infectious, and it reminded me of the boundless potential that exists within every child, regardless of geography.

Whether it is teaching a child to count, reading a story, or simply sharing time, these small actions can leave lasting impacts. As I left the school, I carried with me the children’s laughter and a renewed sense of responsibility to ensure that children everywhere are given the opportunity to thrive.
